Let’s talk Boundaries.

Every mom will know that big things happen after you have a baby.

You experience an identity shift, and your priorities change.

As a career coach for new moms, I help my clients find their perfect-match career after this shift happens.

Because contrary to what you may have been led to believe, it IS possible to find your dream job, as a working mom.

You don’t need to make compromises. You don’t need to take a pay cut in a crummy job that leaves you feeling deflated and depressed.

Women CAN be successful at work and make a valuable contribution to the workplace… if they’re given the opportunity to.

And part of this is about the importance of working within boundaries.

Whether it’s letting your boss know that you’ll be pedaling away on your peloton between 3.00 and 3.45, or taking your full lunch hour from now on, rather than grabbing bites of a sandwich at your desk.

Change tends to happen from the top down. So we need to see leaders creating the kind of work climate where they staff feel safe to set and stick to their own boundaries.

I was invited onto the Wild Hearts at Work podcast recently, where we discussed creating, maintaining and expanding boundaries, and how leaders can model boundaries to their teams.
